Basketball (For Boys Only)
Join the Basketball team and compete in the NSG South Zone and Yio Chu Kang Cup. Training runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays, building sportsmanship and resilience through competition.
The Basketball team trains twice a week as part of a structured and progressive training programme designed to develop students’ basketball skills, physical fitness and understanding of the game. The team participates annually in the National School Games (NSG) South Zone Basketball Competition for the Boys’ B and C Divisions, as well as the Yio Chu Kang Cup. These competitions provide students with opportunities to apply the skills and strategies developed during training, gain meaningful competition experience and challenge themselves in a competitive environment.
Through a balanced programme of regular training and competition, students are provided with meaningful exposure to the sport and opportunities to develop a strong sense of pride and belonging towards the CCA. Participation in competitions also helps students develop important values and qualities such as sportsmanship, resilience, discipline, perseverance and teamwork. Beyond their performance on the court, team members are expected to demonstrate respect, courtesy and care towards their teammates, opponents, coaches and officials. Through these experiences, the Basketball CCA aims to develop not only competent players but also responsible and gracious individuals who contribute positively to the team and the wider school community.
